Progressing Thanks to Diversity

From its earliest days, Air Liquide has been committed to strengthening the diversity in its teams, both culturally and geographically, and also in terms of the balance between men and women .

This diversity reflects the world in which the Group evolves, but above all, through the wealth of viewpoints it provides, is the basis of our continuing successful development.

In the last few years, we have introduced a number of policies aimed at facilitating the hiring and career development of women, who accounted for 24% of new hires in 2004.

In 2005 and in coming years, we will continue our efforts to ensure the Group's long term balanced development.

On the occasion of this International Women's Day, I would like to convey my appreciation to the 8,000 women all around the world who contribute to the Group's success.
